BNB Creates Thanksgiving Baskets for Families in Need

November 16, 2017

(Bridgehampton, NY – November 17, 2017)  In the spirit of the holiday, employees at Bridgehampton National Bank (BNB) joined the Thanksgiving Basket Challenge, an initiative of the Bank's Wellness Committee, designed to provide local families at Long Island Cares with provisions to ensure a festive Thanksgiving dinner.  Over 25 baskets, each with special items and personal touches, provided by BNB teams, were donated to Long Island Cares.

The BNB Wellness Committee, who developed the basket concept, focuses on the health and well-being of its employees. Giving back to the local community is a part of the program. Through the Thanksgiving Basket Challenge, employee teams across various bank locations and departments, created unique baskets filled with holiday essentials including:  tablecloths, centerpieces, paper goods and decorations, in addition to nonperishable food items such as canned goods, dry goods and mixes, along with $750 in gift cards.  As part of the challenge, prizes were awarded to those who created the "most complete Thanksgiving dinner in a basket."

"We are extremely proud of our employees.  Because of their generosity and commitment to our communities, this holiday season will be more joyful for many less fortunate families  We're happy to help Long Island Cares do their meaningful work," said Deborah McGrory, Director of Human Resources.
